5 Essential Spring Wardrobe Pieces 1024 683 Never Without Lipstick | Dallas Style Blog

If you’ve been following me for a bit or have been checking in on my Spring Picks page, I’ve had googly eyes about all the latest spring fashion releases! As fun as it can be to shop around the new trends, I always like to check myself and ensure that I’m buying pieces that can last for multiple spring seasons and can create many outfits in my wardrobe and not just one. That’s what led me to write today’s post to break down the true essentials you need for your spring wardrobe!

Crisp White Button Down

Having a white button down in your arsenal is great for every season. But mine has especially come in handy lately when the weather is so cold in the mornings and evenings but hot during the day. I wouldn’t consider my wardrobe complete without my white button downs (I have a couple because I wear them SO often). I prefer to wear a tunic style for my white button downs so that I can wear it longer if I don’t want to tuck it in. Since I have a bigger booty, I also like to give it some coverage if I’m not feeling bootylicious that day ;). When shopping for a white button down, make sure to get one that is true white. The off-white or cream tops can begin to look yellowed and old which is the opposite of crisp!

Floral Romper

I don’t know about you but just mentioning to wear a floral in Spring reminds me of Meryl Streep’s line in The Devil Wears Prada, “Florals in Spring? Groundbreaking,” Ha! Despite that sentiment, florals always come up as a trend for each spring season just with a different nuance. This spring, the florals are subdued and very a la seventies floral patterns. I recommend a floral romper because it’s versatile and can be dressed up and down really easily!

Pastel Off-the-Shoulder Dress

Shoulders are meant to be seen come springtime! And there’s no better way to show them off than with something off-the-shoulder. I just adore the color of this dress; it’s right on point for spring. What about those ruffles?! Everyone needs an easy, breezy dress like this one to be a staple of their spring wardrobe.

Statement Sleeve Blouse

Statement sleeves continue to be a major statement for the spring, and I just can’t get enough of them. A blouse with a statement sleeve I about died over the sleeves on this I’m linking a bunch of my favorite statement sleeve tops below!

Nude Handbag

Having a handbag in a light color can be a scary thought for some. I know it was for me! But with the proper care, having a nude purse can be an amazing wardrobe staple. I have loved this bag especially since its pebbled leather making it a bit stronger and a tad more resistant to stains.
