Now that it’s a new season, I’ve been adding in some new lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, etc. to freshen up my spring makeup. I’m sharing the items that I’ve been using lately for a very light and fresh everyday look that’s perfect for the season!
1. Peachy Lipsticks or Lipglosses
No.7 High Shine Lipgloss: First things first, I LOVE this makeup and skincare line. And to make things even better, you can buy all their products at Target! Everything they make is so high quality while being very reasonably priced; I can’t get over the Beautifully Matte foundation (I wear the Cool Vanilla shade, for reference). But back to lipgloss! I picked up this lipgloss in ‘Just Peachy’ to give it a try, and I immediately loved it. I so rarely wear lipgloss but it just seems so perfect for a lightweight, springy look! This pigment is perfectly peachy with a light hint of coral, so it gives your lips the glossy color they need!
Mac Coral Lipstick in ‘Ravishing’: I went into Nordstrom thinking I wanted a more orangey coral lipstick, but after trying it on, I knew it wasn’t the right shade for me. Then when I tried on ‘Ravishing’ I was sold. It’s so lightly peachy too (and pairs just perfectly with the No.7 lipgloss, by the way) and could definitely be your go-to spring neutral. The formula on this lippie is also a bit creamy which makes for a much more hydrated look.
2. Pearlescent Highlighters
Now that it’s officially springtime, those cheekbones need some highlight! Go for a subtle, pearly color on your cheekbones and you can also add it to your cupid’s bow and nose if you’re feeling brave. Apply with a fan brush to get a light shimmer! I keep going back to my BECCA pressed highlighter in ‘Moonstone’.
3. Creamy Copper Eyeshadows
One of my all-time favorite shadows to get a nice warm shade in my crease is ‘Creme Brulee’ by Makeup Geek (it’s $6)! Add this into your crease with a fluffy crease brush and finish off the look by dabbing this shimmery, creamy L’Oreal infallible shadow in Amber Rush all over your lid. This will give you a very warm look for your eyes that pairs well with the highlighter!
4. Light Pink Cheeks
If you read my post on beauty buys under $15, I shared that the Milani ‘Luminoso’ blush just wasn’t a hit with me. But I read about the ‘Dolce Pink’ color on Katey McFarlan’s blog and had to try it right away. Things went much better with this shade! It’s lightly shimmery and adds the perfect amount of rosy flush to your cheeks.
