Embracing the bodysuit outfit was initially kind of scary for me. I have a long torso, so I was afraid I’d run into the same problem I do with one-piece bathing suits: the bodysuit not being able to stretch over my torso and leaving me with a mega-wedgie. Valid concerns, I know. But when this bodysuit came in, I was sold on the whole trend. Overall, I think that bodysuits are great for all body types, especially the styles with necklines meant for everyday wear.
Because bodysuits can potentially be a daunting addition to your wardrobe, I’ve decided to share two outfit ideas to ease you into wearing one!
1. Loungewear Chic: Bodysuits are really comfy, so don’t hold back in making the rest of your bodysuit look comfy too. And if you’re comfortable in what you’re wearing, you’re automatically going to feel more confident especially when trying a bodysuit. Pair your bodysuit with some street-style tennies, a denim jacket, or a bomber jacket.
2. Bodysuit with an edge: If you’re going out for drinks or just want to add more of an edge to your bodysuit outfit, then consider adding in mixed leather textures and some studding. I loved pairing my bodysuit with:
The key to wearing a bodysuit is really building an outfit around it of your favorite, go-to pieces which can be a great approach to introducing new trends or pieces into your wardrobe. For the most part, I’d only seen bodysuit outfits that were a bit more revealing, and I didn’t think I could pull that off. That’s why I hunted down a comfortable bodysuit that I thought I could realistically add to my wardrobe and style with a bunch of pieces I already had.
